I had the absolute honor of meeting Tom Hiddleston at Wheatland Music Festival this weekend! Yeah, Loki! At a bluegrass festival! Turns out he's brushing up on his singing and guitar for an upcoming bio pic about Hank Williams I believe (don't quote me)

Dear gods, he's at it again.

At what you ask? (okay, so there's no one to ask that really. oh well, I don't care. I'll ask myself.)
I'm going to start another webcomic. Though, sadly, this one will not be able to be hosted here on DA. At all. Why? Excessive Gore, nudity, adult themes, you get the gist.
So, if I won't be posting it here, why am I relaying this information to the five people who actually pay attention to my ramblings?
Because I have no idea how to do up a site for a webcomic. Yup. I'm asking for a tutor.
There it is.
Moving on, the webcomic itself will be about the exploits of my friends and I's Dungeons and Dragons campaigns. Initially it will start with our BoEF campaign. ("Book of Erotic Fantasy" for those who don't know.) Later it will delve into the inter-connected net of campaigns we have acquired that all seem to exist in the same canon. Characters from each will be introduced and the story will weave itself into a larger story that culminates in the adventures of multiple adventuring parties, spread out over years.
Yes, this is quite the endeavor. However, one of the two major contributing factors to why I can't finish anything is removed!
Those factors are: Motivation and Inspiration.
Inspiration is taken care of! It's a D&D campaign, someone else is at the controls, we just get to help veer them in different directions. With this in mind the comic could go any direction that may or may not be in my control. Heck, someone could die later on! We don't know yet.
Certain storylines ("Old" campaign has been discontinued/Completed via Divination spells[we didn't want to continue so we just explained what would happen and said "There. it's been divined. that's what happens, we're done with it."] and so it is set in stone how that one resolves.) are already completed, but we're starting from the beginning of it all with "BoEF".
So far, there are 4 stories to be told.
- The "Mini" campaign (MC) (which has yet to begin) is apparently set 100 years before the events of BoEF. (it hasn't begun yet, this is subject to change at the time. Events here will be given their own special place and possibly end up as a flashback chapter every now and then.)
- BoEF at the forefront, starting the entire set of events in motion in the comic.
- The "Big" campaign (with six PC's) follows up, set four years after the conclusion of "Boef"
- And the "Old" campaign. (Which is complete, and ends the storyline for now. It begins 10 years after the conclusion of "BoEF".)
Now for a bit of a description of the setting, without giving away too many spoilers.
"BoEF" starts with three people: Onstrōk Jigglebig, Kirah Il'Punani, and Ki.
Onstrōk is a Gnome Tantrist (An *ahem* Sex Wizard), Kirah is a ditsy human grapple-rouge, and Ki is a Shapeshifter charisma-rouge (mainly intimidate).
I know what you're thinking. Two rouges and a wizard? No Fighter? No Cleric? Well, to be fair the campaign was started as a bit of a joke. A fun campaign to break myself and Ki's controller into the roleplay aspect of D&D. (no, that's not a double-entendre or a pun. Neither of us were very good at the interactions aspect of D&D, which was one of the factors that lead to the failing of the "Old" campaign.)
There's also a reoccurring cast of supporting characters that fill certain roles. While one is a secret until you meet him, the other is "Merrik, the Cleric". Now, if any of you have ever heard of the elusive Merrik, guess what. Our DM is his original creator. If you've never heard of him, he's apparently moderately famous (or infamous) with a vow of celibacy and a habit of accidentally falling into sexual encounters. Yes, Accidentally. Don't ask, I couldn't tell you.
Merrik runs the Temple of Sharess, essentially the goddess of Porn. (in comparison to Sune who would be the goddess of Erotica, or Selune the goddess of the moon and true love. Or worse, Shar the goddess of BAAAAD sex.)
Well, okay. Technically speaking he's the bartender there. But I digress.
The three of them get sent on a quest for a member of the city of Calimshan's political movers. A simple quest. Go here, get this, bring it here. Again, no spoilers.
Well, things go south, get harder, and... you'll have to just keep up with the story to find out where it goes! I've set it up, it's up to you to follow it through.
Now... as for motivation... that's a whole 'nother obstacle. If I can get more than my D&D group in on this to persuade me (and a site where I can have possibly a *ahem* "Mature" comic without getting in trouble, that'd be great. No really, it would.) I'll work my hardest on keeping up with a schedule, even if it's only once a week on updates. The more support I get (and the more free time I have) the more effort will go into pages.
We have some sketches of characters for BoEF drawn up (three of them so far from the starting cast) that I can actually upload here eventually. So look out for those!
Oh, and a note: House rule says an INT over 16 allows fourth-wall leaning. So enjoy constant real-world references, in-jokes, and puns. Oh the rainbow sea-cow there will be puns.
For now, D&D belongs to its current owners (Not WotC if I remember correctly)
and Onstrōk, Ki, and Kirah all belong to their respective PC's,Mr. Jigglebig being my own.

Riot has finally drawn my ire.
Why?
Has a champ I liked been changed drastically lore-wise? No, I never really cared for Trundle to begin with. He was an ok lane partner, an annoying bot that I never particularly enjoyed facing, and an all around decent champ. None of this has changed with the rework.

Has a champ I play often been nerfed horribly? Not really. My main 3 are Sona, Morgana, and Blitzcrank. All 3 of which are perfectly fine the way they are, and have been. Messing with their ratios doesn't make them less fun for me. Especially blitz. Yoink!
Has a champ I've never really encountered been given a rework into something I recognize? Something from my own gallery no less?

Okay, so not yet. But even so. Yorick, the Gravedigger, has a rework in, well, the works. While this wouldn't normally be an issue for me (never played/faced/laned with him) It's not so much the rework that's gotten to me...
It's what he's being worked into.
Before, Yorick had four ghasts/ghouls he could call on, one of them being a self-sacrificing copy of a team mate that would revive them for ten seconds to finish what they were doing. The others are a bit foggy to me, because as I've said, I've never really known much about him.
Now? Lets look over what they've got in the works for the dear gravedigger.
Yoricks' Passive: Every twenty seconds Yorick spawns a ghoul (using his family's "Magic Shovel" no less). If he has more than 3 they will constantly lose health until they die until he has 3. Ghouls protecting Yorick take 10% of the damage he would have taken instead.
Hmm... okay... not too bad... now he just pumps out ghouls so he has his own personal... creep... wave...
Wait a second.
Isn't that what Zaggryx does? While yes, the mechanic is a bit off (Yorick need not kill enemies(with his passive) to spawn his creeps, and he can only have a set amount without them starting to keel over) it's very similar to Zaggryx. Shockingly actually. Zag gets a Scrapling every 3 minion kills, or every large monster/champ kill/assist.
Yorick's Q: Yorick swings his shovel, hitting all near by enemies. If his ghouls are near the hit enemies, they'll swing too, and stick to any enemy their attacking for 2 seconds. Oh, and if an enemy dies within 2 seconds of this attack, he automatically gets another ghoul to do with as he pleases.
Hmm... okay. Nothing too much like Zag's kit, other than the 'if you kill them you get a creep' stipulation. Not really a complaint here.
Yorick's W: Yorick throws a glob of 'corpse rot' to a location, which explodes and slows enemies. any ghouls near the explosion rush towards enemy champions and explode to do damage.
... Did I just read this right? Hell, did I just type this right? You bet your sweet gaskets I did. Yorick's new W is naught but a cheese'd off version of Zaggryx's R (Instability), with a splash of His W's (Rustyard) Slow passive.
... The Hell Riot?

... REALLY? This is plain and simple Zaggryx's own E (Artillerize) wrapped up with the heal from his Q (Assimilate), down to getting the health via a spawned creep. The only difference is the "Magic Dirt" bit, and even then he probably just tossed a glob of Zac at them.
Yoricks R: Yorick opens a grave and unleashes 5 more ghouls (in addition to the ones he has now) onto the battlefield. During this move's 5 second timer, Yorick can have more than 3 minions and they won't lose life via his passive.
Okay, calming back down, this is quite literally just a mass spawn. While, yes, this is a bit of a game-changer given his kit, it is rather original to him. Zaggryx could probably keep up with him in creeps, if it weren't for the fact that Zag's creeps have a 3 minute lifespan, not counting getting farmed by enemy champions/turrets/jungle monsters.
The thing is, Zaggryx has been here on DA for quite a while. 2 years in December.
What the hell Riot. What the hell? Zaggryx was my first real fan champion idea. If you wanted, you could have just said "Wow, this sure looks like a good idea, lets see if we can work on this and make it into something truly worthy of the Fields of Justice!"
Instead you go the easy route and just say "Hey, this looks like a good idea! *Blitzcrank yoink!* Ours now, sucker!"
Seriously?!
And yes, I know Riot has full rights to League. I know that I'm probably being paranoid. I know that the odds that I am the direct source for Yorick's upcoming rework idea is 1 in several trillion.
But the realization of what Yorick is going to become hit me real close to home.
I am angry.
I am offended.
I am venting.
In no way do the contents of this journal mean I am accusing Riot of stealing my ideas. I am merely pointing out the drastic similarities I notice between Zaggryx and Yorick's new abilities. While yes there are probably holes in my logic a mile wide, I cannot see them through the fact that my Brain FEELS red. Anger is a horrible thing.
In no way does the contents of this journal mean I am going to pursue any action against Riot, in fact, I'm going to continue to play League and possibly grab new Yorick upon his release(or possibly beforehand if I can work up the IP) just so when the time comes I can walk out onto Summoners Rift and imagine Zaggryx standing there with his minions, and feel some semblance of pride in what I had created so long before.
I will more than likely accept it when the time comes.
I will move on with my life.
But I will not cease in my efforts to turn Zaggryx in to a champ worthy of the Institute of War.
All I ask, Riot, is that you either 1: Give credit where credit is due if you did use Zaggryx as a template for Yorick's new skillset, or 2: Drop Yorick's IP price to a decent amount to make it easier for casual players to obtain him.
Or 3: Give Yorick a robot skin where he looks like a walking junkyard. That would be amazing and I would honestly throw money at you to get it. No, really, I would travel to Riot HQ/your PAX booth and throw money at you begging for the skin.
I shit you not I would.
*insert "Shut up and take my RP" image here*
But for now, I will wait.
I will wait and see.
I will wait for some kind of response, any, that either confirms or denies my suspicions.
Or, you know, a junkyard skin for Yorick.
Whichever comes first.

It seems that my latest endeavor has fallen flat upon its face, like so many others. I will not give in, however! The "Ask Haru!" project shall remain open for when it finally starts rolling!
In the mean time, I have another idea set in motion, but it requires a little help...
You see, I have no idea what I'm doing here on DA. Now, I don't mean that in the sense of "My art is garbage, why do I embarrass myself posting here? *whine, cry, etc*" I mean it in the sense of... How do I do this? How did they do that? What in the name of some unholy abominations undergarments is Sta.sh? These questions all run through my head regularly. How do people link to other accounts and use their avatar as an emote? How can I say "XPerson (no idea if there actually is an "XPerson" here on the site, if there is, my apologies for using you as an example.) drew something cool! Click their picture to go see it!" or use one of the amusing little "plz" emoticon accounts people seem to start up regularly when they want to be able to use one of those emotes?
In all truth, I really have no idea what I'm doing here. Flying blind as it were. And it's not like I can just walk up (figuratively) to some random deviant and go "OI! How U post funeh pickturs in ur comentz?!?!1/!/!?" like a member for all of five minutes, who's sole purpose for joining DA was to ask that very question. It's a type of embarrassment I don't feel I as a person would willingly put myself through unless in dire straights...
So I took the high road and just decided to ask the masses via my journal. Because asking everyone at once is somehow better than singling out one person who may or may not have as sketchy as information as I do...
Does DA even have an FAQ? *should look this up afterwards*
ANYWAYS! On to the main point for my creating this here... now... why I talking like this? Derp.
My reason for creating this journal is to backboard an idea off, again, the masses, about a group for Misfit Pokemon such as Cotton, Zen, and Grace. Pokemon who are a little different... Something just isn't quite 'normal". Like Cotton for instance. Lopunny don't normally have giant hands sprouting from their ears. And Pokemon aren't normally born blind. Or are Audino that learn "Toxic++" while leveling up.
Now, the thing is, this wouldn't be for Pokemon that are, say, blind because X happened and now their eyes don't work/are damaged/are missing/etc. Those Pokemon are different. How? Easy:
All scars have stories.
This is something they're born with. Something that makes them... not normal. Different. Special. That part of them has always been just that: Part of them. It doesn't have its own story, it's just another part of their story.
This is for the fannon poke's that are set aside from the rest, again, like Cotton, Zen, and Grace.
Grace for example. She is incapable of HP-healing moves. Status conditions? Sure. She knows heal bell. But no Healing Pulse, no Recover, nothing. Another thing? She learned an advanced, unnaturally strong version of Toxic leveling up. And it's ALWAYS active in her hands. All of these together make you think poison type pokemon, not Audino. But she's always been like this. It doesn't have its own story... It's just part of hers.
I had hopes of making this a group so people could contribute their own fanon poke's, their own stories, their own ideas, their own characters, and make it one big community of misfits. Heh, it'd almost be the X-Men even, but pokemon. If there already is one, I wish someone'd point me in their direction.
If not, who all'd jump in on this and help make it awesome?
(One last note, I think we'd have to exclude 'Magicgarp' from the running... i.e. the lv 99 shiny 'karp with the 'godset' that was apparently released a while ago. That this is unnatural, yes, but it was distributed and is canon. This is for poke's that popped into your head when you saw a certain drawing or design and they sprang to life in your brain. A "Hey, what if lopunny had hands on its ears?" *was just watching a type-wild video where lopunny punches with its ears* idea. Something that builds itself up from the smallest scraps and becomes something more. Not something Nintendo hands you and says 'have fun online! *trollface*' )

Things go kaput.

Well, it would seem that my comic idea is in the wastebin. An overall lack of support, or any response really, as well as my own laziness, has drawn me to the conclusion that jumping directly into a webcomic from nowhere is a bad idea. Some form of practice is in order.
This I will take up wholeheartedly and with much gusto. Why you ask, am I so willing to practice? The answer is simple. Practically all I do is practice. One sketch after another, one drawing after another, with no real plot, scheme, or any such kind of structure. I draw what I want, when I want, whichever way I want. And that suits me just fine.
But how do I practice? This new question drove me mad... until I resigned myself to fate, and decided to jump on the bandwagon of 'it's been done before' and decided...
To start an "Ask Me!" style thing.
I will not be creating a new account for this.
I will not create a tumblr to house it.
I'm just going to do it right here, on my same old profile that I've had for X amount of years, because it is familiar, it is trusted, and more than likely this endeavor will flop within six month's time and fade back into the archives of my deviations, never to see the light of day again.
Unlike that damned Duel Disk I drew on a whim that EVERYONE AND THEIR DOG seems to like. Honestly. It's a doodle. I did it because it struck my fancy. WHY DOES EVERYONE LIKE IT MORE THAN THINGS I ACTUALLY PUT EFFORT INTO?!
Whew. Got that out of my system. Anyways, yeah. Welcome to the wonderful world of "Ask the generic DeviantArt no-one random questions to give him some sense of worth because we're all nice chaps who take pity on his hopeless cries for attention."
I honestly feel like dirt doing it, but it's the truth. Ask me whatever you want. I reserve the right to answer or not answer any question(s) of my choosing on any whim I may or may not come across.
